Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes such as Guacamole en Molcajete, made in a traditional lava-rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared tableside and served with housemade chips and warm corn tortillas. Other menu highlights include Tablones (Grilled Boneless Short Ribs Served with a Tomatillo-Chipotle Sauce, Rajas and Charro Beans), Pescado Relleno de Jaiba (Seared Red Snapper Served with Crab), Chile Ancho Relleno (Sweet Chiles Anchos Filled with Chicken Picadillo) and a host of specialty cocktails such as Rosa's wildly popular Frozen Pomegranate Margarita.

True to the Rosa Mexicano trail-blazing spirit, the restaurant continues to break new ground, guided by the vision of culinary director Roberto Santibaez, the acclaimed chef from Mexico City that critics have hailed as a leader in contemporary Mexican cuisine. With Santibaez at the helm, Rosa Mexicano has remained faithful to its traditional roots while incorporating diverse regional accents and inspired innovations.
Rosa Mexicano's original Midtown East location at 1063 First Avenue (at 58th Street) continues to serve its signature menu amidst rustic, handcrafted furnishings. Rosa's Lincoln Center location at 61 Columbus Avenue (at 62nd Street), which opened in 2000, represents the beginning of Rosa's next generation. With a soaring David Rockwell-designed dining room, this second location delivers Rosa's singular brand of Mexican cuisine in a modern, stunning space. Design features include a grand staircase of "floating" orange and red terrazzo stone slabs, a 30-foot water wall made of iridescent blue glass tiles with legions of cliff diver figurines, hammered metal panels by artist Brad Oldham, and rose-themed mosaics by renowned craftsman Michael Palladino.
In the nearly two decades since it was co-founded by Josefina Howard, Rosa Mexicano's winning combination of authentic Mexican cuisine in a vibrant, jubilant atmosphere has garnered Rosa Mexicano attention in Gourmet, Food & Wine, Martha Stewart Living, and Time Magazine.
