In 1994 Mr.Daniel Ko established an academy in Whitestone, New York with the commitment of educating the young minds with personal mentorship and academic excellence.
As more learning institutions increased the size of their classes with fewer instructions, Mr. Ko found the students were given little attention of their intellectual and emotional needs. Students crowded inside small classrooms and found difficulty improving their skills as curriculums of the courses were too broad to meet the specific skills needed for improvement.
Gradually over the years, Mr. Daniel Ko created programs emphasizng on the smaller classroom environment, involvement of the parents, intellectual and emotional mentorship.
In 1999, this academy relocated to Great Neck, New York. In 2006, its name changed to Phillips Education System holding a higher standard of academic excellence.
Today, there are six centers opened in the greater area of New York, flourishing with young students growing everday to become the excellent scholars Phillips Education Systems works on producing.
In addition, we also provide daily small group instruction in academic reading, writing, math, and study skills for students in grades K-12.
We specialize in test prep for the SSAT, SAT, TOEFL, ELA and Regents' exams. Our instructors, many of whom are ivy league graduates, who are dedicated to providing quality group instruction and personalized lesson plans specifically designed for your child's unique learning needs.
