The Palace
The Palace is an amazing three-story venue providing entertainment to Colgate University and the surrounding community. The main floor is a 3,200 sq. ft. area complete with a large elevated stage for live performances, state-of-the-art sound and light systems designed to showcase all types of music. The main level also contains a stylistic juice bar. The upstairs lounge has comfy chairs and a spacious non-alcoholic bar that provides a gallery where patrons can watch the action from above, mingle or even play some games. The basement level houses our snack bar and is the quiet place to get away from it all. Welcome to ONStage! a new series featuring live national, regional, community and Colgate University student theater companies at the Palace Theater. Comfortable seating and delectable desserts at the Cafe complete the evening’s experience. Be part of the electrifying energy created between the performers and audience of live theater! Mission ONStage! provides a variety of live professional theatrical performances to the general public. It will also facilitate a relationship between the professional theater companies and the Colgate Drama Department and Hamilton Central School Drama Club to create professional and academic opportunities for young adults in the greater Hamilton area. ONStage! is made possible in part with the support of various donors and ticket sales. Your suggestions for future theater performances are always welcome and encouraged. One of the events: "The Uncanny Appearance of Sherlock Holmes is a carnival-style crime investigation filled with live original rock music, high-energy acrobatics, slapstick comedy antics, cross-dressing, and twentieth century philosophy. The play follows the world-famous detective, Sherlock Holmes, as he investigates the bizarre murders of Dr. Jeremy Nietzsche and Dr. Kevin Freud." Call us at 315-824-1420
